AMPL is Looking for a Full Time Executive Director

That's right!  We need someone to join our AMPL family to help continue and grow the great work the board and ambassadors started just over two years ago.  We've come along way in two years, and we are looking for someone to help AMPL support recreational interests and access to our public lands.   

Here is the job description:

AMPL is looking for an Executive Director to support this budding local non-profit advocacy group and it’s Board of Directors.  Now in its second year as a 501 (C)3, AMPL has quickly become an important non-profit organization on both sides of the Tetons, which supports recreational access on public lands.  AMPL’s mission is to promote all types of recreational interests on public lands, which include mechanized and motorized travel, while working with community interests to find common solutions that benefit all user groups.  AMPL is not looking to change wilderness access or ask for radical change that would harm the environment; just the opposite AMPL stands for education, consensus and cooperation.  This new position would be to develop the AMPL programing and advocacy efforts at first on a part time basis. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

ADVOCACY/ FUNDRAISING/ ADMIN:

Work with Board to develop yearly goals
Develop relationships with key community stakeholders
Attend public meetings locally to support recreational access
Work with state, local and national government representatives to support recreational access and funding
Work with area businesses, government agencies and other non-profits to develop common goals and programing
Educate AMPL stakeholders on current events, legislature and regulations that can impact recreation access
Create an annual fundraising strategy
Create a fundraising campaign yearly around Old Bills
Work with Treasurer to develop annual budgets
Organize and run quarterly Board of Director’s meetings

MARKETING:

Manage AMPL Website
Manage and grow the AMPL Database and email program
Manage and grow the AMPL Social Media platforms
Plan, promote, manage, and attend special functions organized by AMPL
Develop all other marketing materials, advertisements and collateral needed for various events and fundraising campaigns         

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Strong organizational skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Desire and passion to support all types of recreational interests
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic computer skills
Working knowledge of Squarespace, MailChimp, Facebook and Instagram for business
Ability to accommodate a fluctuating schedule, as the job requires
Ability to travel as necessary and work weekends and evenings as necessary
College degree preferred with at least five years living in the Teton area
